| The Cemetery Commission's major
responsibility is governing the use and operation of the cemetery. The
Commission also has the authority to cause a property tax levy by the
City Council for the operation of the cemetery. Monies sufficient to
operate the cemetery have been derived from the sale of grave sites and
lots, gifts, and interest received on investments. Legal and security
investment experience is highly desirable for members appointed to the
Commission.
The Commission meets quarterly.
