S. Michael Rummel became Mayor of The City of Lake
Forest on May 9, 2005. Prior to taking office, he
previously served as Second Ward Alderman for four
years during which time he served as Chairman of
the City Council Finance Committee. As Alderman he
also served on a number of committees, including
the Water Plant; Personnel, Compensation and
Administration; Public Works; Sewer Improvement
and Fort Sheridan Redevelopment Committees.
Mr. Rummel is President of Rummel Associates,
an insurance brokerage firm in Chicago. He is a
graduate of Northwestern University and was
president of the Northwestern Club of Chicago. A
member of the St. Mary's School Board, he has been
a volunteer coach in Lake Forest in a number of
sports.
Mr. Rummel and his wife, Melanie, have lived in
Lake Forest with their children, Jared and
Jessica, for over 18 years. |
