Donald P. Schoenheider was elected as Mayor in
April, 2013. Mr. Schoenheider served as Third Ward Alderman
from May of 2010 until elected Mayor, and prior to that, served for five years on the City's Building Review Board (one year as Chairman).
With 27 years of experience in the area of
commercial real estate development brokerage,
Don is an executive with Liberty Property Trust.
He has particular experience in state and local
government/community development. Don has
a BA from Valparaiso University and has done
graduate work in Public Administration at the
University of Illinois/Springfield. Don is
married to Cecile and has children at the School
of St. Mary and Loyola Academy. Mayor Schoenheider feels strongly that it is
important to give back to the community and make
it a better place to live and raise a family.
