Congratulations to the graduates of the Lake Forest Police Department Citizens Police Academy!

On Wednesday, May 11, 2016 fifteen area residents graduated from the 20th Session of the Lake Forest Police Department’s Citizen’s Police Academy. The graduates participated in a 10 week program where they were exposed to a variety of topics in an effort to give them a more in-depth understanding of law enforcement. Each graduate was presented with a plaque with their Certificate of Graduation by Chief Jim Held and a polo shirt.

The program is designed to promote and enhance citizen understanding and awareness of the role of the Lake Forest Police Department within our community. The objective of the course is not to prepare graduates to become police officers, but instead, to instill in citizens a greater general knowledge of the many functions of LFPD.

We would like to thank the graduates for their participation, interest, and the enthusiasm they had in this program. It is refreshing to know the graduates now have a better understanding of their police department and how hard the members of the department work to keep the community safe and provide the citizens with a better quality of life.
