Planning and Zoning

Planning staff is available to help residents with their building projects and verify that new construction complies with the Zoning Code.  Contact a Planner to determine if your project requires review by one of the City's Boards and Commissions.  Variance requests and demolition requests are examples of projects that require review by a City Board or Commission.

Planner Office Hours

In an effort to serve our customers better, the Community Development Department is pleased to provide Planner Office Hours. During this time, planning staff will be available to meet with Realtors, residents, architects, business owners, contractors and others. No appointment needed. This time is intended to provide an opportunity to ask brief questions and get basic information. For in depth discussions or review of projects, a separate appointment may still need to be scheduled.

Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Each walk-in customer will be offered a 10 minute time slot. Customers will be assisted on a first come, first served basis.
