Thank you for visiting the Lake Forest Cemetery. The Lake Forest Cemetery Gatehouse, the office location for the Cemetery Sexton, is at 520 Spruce Avenue and is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Visiting hours for the Cemetery are as follows:

  • 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. October to April
  • 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. May to September

The Lake Forest Cemetery, located off the coast of Lake Michigan, is a beautiful and scenic location for a final resting place. Tours of the Cemetery are available by appointment only to protect the privacy of mourners. Accommodations will be made for visitors with special needs according to the Americans With Disabilities Act. To arrange a tour, please contact the Cemetery at 847-615-4341. 

The Lake Forest Cemetery is peaceful, tranquil and beautiful in all seasons. Please be respectful of other visitors and maintain the Cemetery's tranquility. Dogs and refreshments are not allowed on Cemetery grounds. Please adhere to the 15 miles per hour speed limit inside the Cemetery, and park all vehicles and bicycles on the side of the drive. Parking is not permitted on the lawn. Bicycles may also be placed in the rack at the entry gate
