Lake Forest Parks and Recreation Department Early
Childhood Education program provides positive recreational opportunities for children,
infant through 2 1/2 years with a parent, and for 2 1/2
through 8 year olds in drop-off classes where the parent does not stay with the child in the
program.
Programs are designed with the needs of the specific age group in
mind. Programs focus on being a fun and safe place to meet,
make new friends and learn new skills. While being exposed to new
activities, participants will continue to develop their
socialization as well as fine, gross motor and cognitive skills.
Equipment and supplies will be safe and interesting for the children
to use and explore. Programs will be offered and changed seasonally
to make the best use of our natural surroundings. Hurry
