Reptile Rampage Celebrates
“Year of the Serpent”

Visit with snakes and other reptiles from all over the world at the Wildlife Discovery Center’s fifteenth annual Reptile Rampage. This gigantic education-only reptile show will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the City of Lake Forest’s Recreation Center, 400 Hastings Road.
 
Reptile Rampage is a great opportunity for the entire family to spend the day getting up close and personal to some amazing and unique reptiles. For $8 per adult and $5 per child, visitors can meet over 150 animals including “Bubba” the famous American Alligator, the Wildlife Discovery Center's celebrated rattlesnake collection, lizards, snakes of all shapes and sizes, turtles, crocodilians, tortoises, frogs and much more. Visitors will also have the chance to talk with some of the Midwest’s most knowledgeable reptile enthusiasts from local zoos, universities, museums, nature centers, and private collections.
 
Some of the featured exhibitors will include Jim Nesci from Cold Blooded Creatures, the Chicago Herpetological Society, the St. Louis Herpetological Society, Chicago’s Field Museum of Natural History, Windy City Reptiles, Small Scale Rescue of Wisconsin, and many more.
 
In addition to the many reptiles on display, there will be children’s activities, face painting,Reptile Rampage Coupon Graphic a Scout Patch challenge ($5 extra for the patch), a fabulous silent auction, pizza and refreshments, and much more.
Reptile Rampage is once again being sponsored by BTG, an international specialty pharmaceutical company. Proceeds from Reptile Rampage will benefit the Wildlife Discovery Center.

Have a snapping good time!
Bring your friends and family to our celebration of the amazing family of animals called the crocodilians. On Saturday, October 20, 2012, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, the Wildlife Discovery Center will host CROCtoberfest, a fun-filled family extravaganza. You can meet live crocs and talk with experts from the Chicago Herpetological Society and Windy City Reptiles.  From noon – 1:00 pm, listen to a special presentation on the critically endangered Siamese Crocodile, which will be given by Rob Carmichael, WDC’s curator.

CROCtoberfest will be held at the Wildlife Discovery Center, 1401 Middlefork Drive, Lake Forest. Your $5 per person recommended donation, payable at the door, will help us maintain the high-level of care we provide the animals at the WDC.  Additionally, a portion of the proceeds will help support crocodile conservation.
