The motor coach for most trips will depart from the front door of Dickinson Hall.


TRIP RESERVATIONS

Reservations for trips may be made by phone at 847-234-2209, by mail or in person at the Senior Center
 
Visa, MasterCard or Discover, personal check or cash are accepted. Payment is due 7 days after a reservation is made. In case of cancellations, refunds will be issued if we are able to fill the opening from our wait list.


Joyous Jaunts with Joy Horwich
Tuesday  May 1  9am  $85/$95 nonmember   meal is included

Visit three of the most interesting 'hot spots' that impact our exciting city. Flashpoint Academy: a Media Arts accredited school that offers degrees in film, broadcasting, animation games and interactive media design. You'll see the school in action. Next, Primitive, a 4 story gallery, with an elevator, to see extraordinary collections of Asian artifacts, primitive tribal, furniture, textiles, jewelry and fashion. Lunch is at Mia Francesca in the Seneca Hotel. Then a visit to the Poetry Foundation, newly built by architect, John Ronan; it houses a 30,000 volume non-circulating historic collection that had been stored at the Newberry Library.

Let's visit 'The Hidden Museum'! This grand home named Casa del Sol y Luna has four floors filled with categorized artwork--the Athena, Grand, Spirit West, Atlantis, Harmony and Serenity Rooms. The Venice and French Rooms, the Gallery and not to be missed--the Safari Room! Lunch at Maria's Bakery in Highwood then a docent led tour of Fort Sheridan--a National Historic Landmark.

Lend Me a Tenor at the Citadel Theater

Brunch at The Grille on Laurel, then out to the beautiful Citadel Theater in Lake Forest. It's September 1934 when world famous tenor, Tito Morelli is scheduled to perform at the gala opener of the opera season. But wait, with 3 minutes to curtain, Morelli has gone missing and soon the farce spins out of control and the fun begins.
