ACES: Adult Caregiver Education & Support
2nd Wednesdays 2:30-4:00pm May 9, June 13, July 11
Facilitator: Janet Fryer, LCPC
A caregiver is a spouse, adult child, other relative or
friend who helps, cares for, or is concerned about an older
adult. Studies show that caregivers reduce their stress,
enjoy improved health and provide better care when receiving
support. Come to gain valuable information on relevant
topics, get leads on resources and share concerns and tips
with other caregivers. We
will tailor the topics to meet the needs and requests of our
group. If you need someone to stay with your loved one while
you come to the group, please
contact Janet, Senior Advocate 847-810-4678.
Daily Telephone Check-In
We have started a program calling home-bound persons daily,
just to check in and make sure everything is OK. this
service would be most valuable for individuals who have
physical limitations, or who are extremely isolated. If you
are thinking this program might benefit you or a friend,
call Janet for more information. We are also looking for
volunteers to make the check-in call, so call Janet
847-810-4678 if interested in volunteering to call one or
two people daily.
