Great Family Events!




During this fun-filled event for all ages, you can meet live crocodilians, including Bubba the world famous American Alligator who will be on hand 10 am - 12 noon.  Our expert staff and members of the Chicago Herpetological Society and the Madison Area Herpetological Society will give short talks about crocodiles and their kin, including some of our very own residents while also providing some close up encounters with a variety of reptiles.

There will also be:

• Kid-friendly activities
• Face Painting
• Craft vendors
• The WDC’s Wildside Store
• Food and refreshments

CROCtoberfest will be held at the Wildlife Discovery Center, 1401 Middlefork Drive, Lake Forest. Your $5 per person admission fee, payable at the door (cash, check or credit card), will help the WDC maintain the high-level of care we provide our resident alligators and crocodiles. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds will help support crocodile conservation. Be sure to mark your calendar and tell your friends about CROCtoberfest! Lake Forest Parks and Recreation Department invites you to join us for a fun evening of Halloween activities!

Spooky Games, Haunted Hayride, Haunted House and more!

There will be lots of refreshments and treats for all. Lake Forest Parks and Recreation will provide plenty of fun for Lake Forest preschoolers through 3rd graders and parents. There is no admission fee. This event is sponsored by Forest Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry.
