BASEBALL CLINIC - Sunday, February 12, 2012

The Lake Forest Police Department is proud to announce its 12th Annual Baseball clinic.

The clinic, which is "Spring Training" for the upcoming season, is one of the largest free baseball clinics in the country. Kids who wish to participate must be between 2nd and 8th grades and residents of Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, Knollwood, attend a school within the City of Lake Forest, or have a parent employed by the City of Lake Forest.

The clinic began in 1999 with approximately 80 participants between the ages of 9-14, and roughly 20 volunteers from the LFPD and Lake Forest High School Baseball team. The 2011 Baseball Clinic had over 225 players and 70 volunteers from the community.

Coaches for the clinic are volunteers from the Lake Forest Police Department, Lake Forest High School Baseball Teams, BatSpeed Academy in Gurnee and the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff communities.

                              

This year's clinic will be on Sunday, February 12, 2012, at the Chicago Bears indoor practice facility, the Walter Payton Center. Registration forms are available at the Lake Forest Police Department or you may download and print the forms below. All forms must be completed and submitted to the Lake Forest Police Department by Monday, January 30, 2012, for the player to be considered enrolled. The first 125 players for each group will be accepted. The group breakdown is:

5th - 8th grade 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
2nd - 4th grade 2:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Please arrive ½ hour before the start time for registration.
