There are many ways for residents to become involved in Lake Forest City Government.  Public meetings of over two dozen Boards and Commissions take place throughout the year, Ward Meetings and a Town Hall Meeting are held annually, and Community Engagement Forums take place almost monthly so that residents of Lake Forest can participate in the governance of their community.  Quite often, public hearings and other community gatherings will be arranged to discuss referenda, timely and important issues facing neighborhoods or the City Council

Residents can do business with the City in person, via U.S. mail, phone and online.
