Created in the Prairie Style of landscape architecture, Lake Forest Cemetery spans 23 acres overlooking Lake Michigan, glacial ravines, broad meadows, wooded forests and steep bluffs.
Designed by landscape architects Almerin Hotchkiss, O.C. Simonds and architect William Le Baron Jenney, Lake Forest Cemetery is the permanent place of rest of many well-known leaders and everyday heroes from Lake Forest and Lake Bluff. Noted for its unique beauty, the Cemetery is listed on The National Register of Historic Places.
