Classes

Dickinson Hall typically has about 140 activities each month for members and guests to choose from.  These include special events, life enrichment, healthy living, and ongoing programs, trips and support programs. Members can be as involved as they desire – some may participate in just a few a year while others stop by nearly every day.  Each month there are individual trips or special events which are highlighted in our Newsbrief.

Most programs require reservations. See the Newsbrief or call us for additional information

Coffee and Conversation:  Every day from 8:30am-3:00pm we have complimentary coffee, ice water, pastries and snacks available.  Everyone is invited to pull up a chair and enjoy company with other seniors.  Stop by any time and make a friend while enjoying a cup or two.

Special Events: We have many luncheons and special events throughout the year including our holiday parties, community events, brunches and many others. Reservations are required.

Life Enrichment Programs: We offer life enrichment programs including luncheons, presentations, lectures, tech assistance, book discussions, Spanish classes, driving courses, music appreciation, knitting/crocheting and many more. Reservations are required.

Healthy Living Programs: We offer a wide variety of healthy living programs including lectures, groups, blood pressure checks, podiatry, massage therapy, walking group, and fitness classes.

Ongoing Programs: These include Girls’ Night Out, Monday movies, Art Wall, Watercolor Group, and cards and games.

Cards & Games – Come for the games but stay for the friendships made around the table.

Adventures: We offer a wide variety of trips including theaters, museums, tours, sports, and others. We take the stress out of going to these places as we buy the tickets, do the driving and worry about the parking – participants just need to show up and enjoy.  Most trips include a stop for lunch (or dinner), which is usually pay-on-your-own, so you can order what you want. We try to arrange for matinee performances whenever possible, but some of them are at night and are always outlined in the newsletter.
