Dickinson Hall offers the opportunity to try unique fitness classes specifically designed for seniors. Our fitness needs change over time and at Dickinson Hall we’ve teamed up with instructors who focus on balance, flexibility, gentle cardio, and overall strength. With our convenient FitPass you can pick and choose when and which classes you attend, no obligation.

Chair Yoga (FitPass)

Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays
10:15 - 11:15 am via Zoom
Instructor: Ana Holland Krawec
In a soothing and relaxed atmosphere, this class includes gentle yoga movements along with breathing and relaxation techniques practiced while sitting in a chair. Standing balance poses using the chair for support are also incorporated into the practice. Poses are adapted for physical limitations to deepen flexibility, increase balance confidence, and strengthen body and mind awareness.

Yoga 101 (FitPass)

Mondays & Fridays, 9:00 - 10:00 am via Zoom
Instructor: Ana Holland Krawec
This traditional yoga on a mat incorporates gentle movements and modified poses using yoga blocks and straps to accommodate a wide spectrum of body types and needs. Poses help strengthen the body and increase range of motion, while relaxation techniques help connect body, mind and spirit.

Dynamic Movement (FitPass)

Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:00 - 10:00 am via Zoom
Instructor: Ana Holland Krawec
A mix of fitness and fun, this class consists of dance moves, strength training, balance and stretch. The focus is to increase our cardiovascular and muscular endurance as well as range of motion.

Outdoor Tai Chi (FitPass)

Tuesdays, 1:00 - 2:00 pm *Registration required*
Instructor: Ken Ning
Tai Chi emphasizes the weight transference to improve balance and body awareness. Its relaxed, slow, graceful and precise body movements can enhance the strength of body and clarity of mind as well as boost the precious immune system. This class will take place at Dickinson Hall, outside, socially distanced, while wearing a mask. Class size is limited. Walk-ins will not be permitted.
