The Lake Forest Cemetery staff offers a flower planting and winter grave decoration service for gravesites. For flower planting, if you would like Cemetery staff to plant flowers at your family gravesite, you may find a printable form in the "Forms" tab on the City of Lake Forest website and click on the Cemetery's webpage. Please note, the Cemetery will not plant flowers until after June 01.

To remember your loved ones with an evergreen grave decoration during the winter season, you may find a printable form in the "Forms" tab on the City of Lake Forest website and click on the Cemetery's webpage. Cemetery staff will begin placement of the decorations during the first week in December and removal will begin on March 01 (weather permitting).

annual fall clean-up

*The annual fall clean-up begins October 15. All summer decorations, pots and annuals are removed at this time by Cemetery staff. From October 15 through November 30, the Cemetery staff will collect leaves and requests that new decorations be limited during this time as they may be damaged by equipment or cause injury and/or damage to the equipment.


Annual Spring clean-up

*Spring clean-up beings on March 01. Those who wish to save any winter decorations should remove them prior to March 01. The Cemetery staff requests that families please limit new adornments during the clean-up period, as they may be damaged by equipment and/or cause injury to visitors and staff.*
