In the summer of 2015 the Lake Forest Police Department, with the support of the Lake Forest Police Foundation, introduced SafetyNet to the community.

The program was developed to teach technology related issues to middle school students, parents, and other community members. Student Resource Officer Conrad Christensen teaches students about the benefits and dangers of technology.  Topics include:  appropriate social media behaviors, phishing scams, sexting, cyberbullying, and password protection.
