Women's Self-Defense Program
The Lake Forest Police Foundation sponsors this free class for women who live or work in the City of Lake Forest.
The course, approximately 10 hours in length and held over four nights, will cover areas such as personal safety, and threat awareness concepts. Participants will be taught realistic self-defense techniques by Lake Forest Police defensive tactics instructors.
This is a dynamic, hands-on course. Participation is essential and participants are encouraged to actively take part with instructors in demonstrating proficiency in the self-defense techniques.
Classes will take place at the Public Safety Building, 255 W. Deerpath, Lake Forest. The number of participants is limited. Please contact Officer Emily Melgar at firstname.lastname@example.org to enroll or call 847-234-2601 and ask for Officer Melgar.
No prior martial arts or defensive tactics training or experience is required.
Presented by the Lake Forest Police Department in conjunction with the Lake Forest Police Foundation.
