Effectively managing stormwater runoff and protecting the water quality is important to Lake Forest. The Lake Forest Collaborative for Environmental Leadership (LFCEL) is excited to host this community program, when residents will have an opportunity to participate in discussions on water and how it relates to ravines. Discussion topics at tables will include:
Lake Forest Water Management - learn about how the City manages stormwater and its ravine projects
Home Water Capture - learn about how to utilize green infrastructure (i.e. rain barrels, rain gardens and permeable driveways) to help reduce property flooding
Home Water Runoff - learn about the common pollutants that can wind up in the storm sewer system and how these pollutants adversely affect water quality
Community Conservation - learn about the LFCEL, the City's Sustainability Plan, and Lake Forest Open Lands Association
No registration is necessary.
