Vehicle Stickers

Vehicle Sticker and Pet License renewals were mailed Monday,  May 4, 2020. Please purchase your 2020-2021 Vehicle and Pet Licenses online with the PIN code provided on your renewal notice:

As City offices closed in mid-March due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and Governor’s stay-at-home order, the City elected to delay the mailing of renewals for City vehicle stickers, animal licenses and annual parking permits. Vehicle sticker sales help to offset the costs of the maintenance of City streets, providing $1.2 million in annual revenue to support the Streets Division budget of more than $1.9 million. In addition to this operating budget, the City will expend $1.75 million in annual street resurfacing during the summer of 2020.

Effective June 3, the Municipal Services facility re-opened to the public. The Finance Department will be working an alternating schedule in City offices, with 50% of staff at MS and 50% working remotely on any given day. We continue to encourage residents to transact business online or by mail due to the reduced staffing and in light of ongoing concerns with the COVID 19 pandemic. The City sent renewal forms via mail or email on Monday, May 4. The due date for purchases has been moved from May 1 to June 15, ensuring that all residents have the customary six-week period for purchase. We have also elected to make the following adjustments for this year’s renewals:

·        Enforcement for display of 2020 City vehicle sticker will be delayed until September 1, 2020

·        No penalties will be assessed for late payment provided purchase is made by September 1, 2020

·        If your vehicle has a 2019 sticker expiring 4-30-20, that sticker will be allowed until September 1, 2020  for parking at Forest Park Beach North Lot and Upper South Lot

·        To park at Forest Park Beach Lower South Lot, additional 2020 permits are required – there is no grace period – for more information, please visit

·        If your vehicle is registered to an address outside of The City of Lake Forest and does not have 2019 or 2020 sticker displayed, you will be ticketed when parking anywhere east of Sheridan Road

·        No parking is allowed on the ring road or nearby public streets, with or without a City vehicle sticker or beach parking sticker

Customer support will be available should you have any questions. Questions may be directed via email to Jamese Scott at A dedicated phone number of 847-810-3631 may also be used for questions pertaining to these renewals.
