Collect Cop Cards

While some children trade cards with images of famous athletes, the Lake Forest Police Department is adding Cop Cards to the mix!

The department recently printed a 14-card set featuring a picture of an officer on the front and information about the officer’s duties and hobbies on the back.

“It’s a great way for us to get to know the kids in the community and for them to get to know us,” said Police Chief Karl Walldorf. The Police Department first introduced Cop Cards in 2001 and this year marks the 6th edition of the trading deck.

When you see an officer on patrol, stop and ask them for a card! The first 10 children to collect all the cards will win a special prize. Once you collect all 14 cards, stop by Public Safety Building (255 West Deerpath) to claim your prize.
