Announcing "No Vehicle Idling" Student Artwork Sign Competition Winners

In April 2023, the City of Lake Forest officially passed a Resolution to be an “Idle-Free Community.” The voluntary act encourages residents, guests, visitors, and other individuals within the City limits not to exceed a three minute idling time in their gas-powered vehicles (pending some exceptions).

To promote Lake Forest as an “Idle-Free Community,” the City held an art contest and asked local students to submit creative “No Vehicle Idling” signs. Six winning designs were selected from over 30 entries from students at three local schools! The winning designs will be placed on a sign in front of the student’s school to remind parents and guests not to idle their vehicle. Additionally, the designs will be shared on the City’s website, social media pages, newsletters, etc. and plan to be placed at other locations around the City.
