Schedules & Rosters
The Lake Forest Parks & Recreation Department (LFPRD) and Lake Forest Lacrosse Association (LFLA) have partnered to build the most robust and successful Boys Lacrosse program in Lake Forest and Lake Bluff. This partnership allows players with talent and interest to continue to play and develop their lacrosse abilities in a seamless manner between both organizations, leading up to play at the High School level.
This combined Lake Forest Lacrosse program will benefit players and their parents by:
Providing professional coaching to all players;
More closely matching each player’s skill level with the appropriate teammates and competition;
Lowering the cost per training hour for most players; and
Providing outstanding fields in closer proximity for both practices and games.
LACROSSE - JUNIOR SCOUTS BOYS LACROSSE (6-14y)
The Junior Scouts Boy’s Lacrosse program will once again be participating in the Illinois Boys Lacrosse Association League (IBLA). Teams will be fielded at 1/2 grade, 3/4 grade, 5/6 grade, and 7/8 grade levels and will practice twice a week and play games on the weekend. Practices will range from 60 to 90 minutes depending on the division and games will be approximately 90 minutes long. Spring Training: To get our Junior Scouts ready, preseason practices will be offered three Sundays in March: 3/3, 3/10, and 3/17. Practices will be held in the Lake Forest Recreation Department Gymnasium or the LFHS East Campus Field House and will run for one hour. The exact schedule will be distributed in March, but no workout will begin before 1:00 pm. To participate in these training days, you must register before March 1st.
LACROSSE - LEARN 2 LAX (GRADES K-1)
Our (LFLA) Spring Coaches are back for our third session of Learn-2-Lax for our youngest lacrosse players (grades K-1). Your son will learn the fundamentals of lacrosse in a fun, engaging, and positive environment from members of the LFLA Spring Coaching Staff - all former college lacrosse players. Player-to-coach ratio of approximately 10:1.
LACROSSE - ILLINOIS GIRLS LACROSSE ASSOCIATION (GRADES 2-8)
Be a part of a community-based youth lacrosse league exclusively for girls! The goals of the program are to understand the rules of lacrosse, active teamwork, sportsmanship, and to foster personal development in a respectful environment led by positive coaching. IGLA has adopted the US Lacrosse ‘Player First’ Athlete Development Model which means smaller fields and a smaller number of players. Kids are more engaged, get more touches on the ball, and further develop their skills.
